Resistor Pack is a simple device which grants multiple fan speed settings when operated from the same nominal 12V input. Resistors have three 12V inputs and a single output, which is known as the motor feed.
A Vast majority of failures are associated with the electrical crimp connections on the resistor pack and are nothing to do with the internals of the pack itself. Either way it needs to be replaced to restore full fan functionality again. .
