Description
55000-193APO AlarmSense Heat Detector (CS)
The AlarmSense Heat Detector (CS) responds when a fixed temperature has been reached.
Key Features:
- Can be used for applications where smoke detectors are unsuitable
- Ideal environments that are dirty or smoky under normal conditions
- 360°C visibility of LEDs
- Reduction of false alarms
- Quick and simple installation
The heat sensor operates by using a matched pair of thermistors to sense heat.
One thermistor is exposed to the ambient temperature, the other is sealed.
In normal conditions the two thermistors register similar temperatures, but on the developement of a fire,
the temperature recorded by the exposed thermistor will increase rapidly,
resulting in an imbalance of the thermistors and causing the detector to change to the alarm state.
A High Temperature sensor has a fixed upper limit, which would be suitable for places such as kitchens.
AlarmSense sensors must be mounted on AlarmSense bases (45681-244)
